The Member representing the constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu has flagged off the distribution of liquid fertilizer to his Constituents.
This initiative aims to assist farmers in reviving their crops after the devastating impact of the drought in the area.
At the ceremony held at his residence in Mayo Belwa, Hon Kallamu represented by Alhaji Abdu Yaya, a key stakeholder of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), highlighted the importance of the initiative, noting that it is part of the promises made by Hon. Kallamu during a recent Town Hall meeting with his constituents.
He emphasized that the distribution of fertilizer is a critical step in helping farmers recover from the drought’s effects and ensure the sustainability of their crops.
Hon Kallamu, who serves as the Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Information, Reintegration, Reconstruction, and Rehabilitation of the Eighth Assembly, reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful representation to his constituents.
He also expressed his gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support to the legislature, which has enabled such community-focused initiatives.
He urged the beneficiaries to use the fertilizer for its intended purpose.
Hon. Ashibiyan Bulus, the Leader of the Mayo Belwa Local Government Council and Councillor representing Ndikong Ward and Hon. Musa Yuguda, Ndikong Development Area Administrator, as well as Halilu Marafa, the PDP Chairman of Yoffo Ward, described the gesture as timely and much needed, acknowledging the positive impact the fertilizer distribution would have on the local farming community.
Earlier, In his remarks, Alhaji Rabiu Ibrahim, the Secretary of the PDP in Mayo Belwa Local Government Area, expressed his gratitude for the support, commending Hon. Kallamu for his dedication to the welfare of his constituents.
The fertilizer was distributed across the five wards of the Mayo Belwa Constituency, benefiting various groups including farmers, religious organizations, and party faithfuls.
