In a major stride toward the Dougirei Government House, Senator Abbas has commenced a high-profile consultation tour, visiting key Paramount Rulers and Traditional Chiefs to seek their prayers and guidance ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
The tour began with a strategic visit to the Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, marking the start of a journey to engage with the custodians of culture and grassroots stability across the state’s three senatorial districts.
Senator Abbas initiated his consultations at the Lamido’s palace in Yola, recognizing the monarch’s role as the Chairman of the Adamawa State Council of Emirs and Chiefs.
“You cannot build a house without a solid foundation,” remarked an aide. “Our Senator understands that the traditional institution is the custodian of our heritage and the heartbeat of the grassroots.”
During the meeting, Abbas formally declared his 2027 intentions, seeking “royal clearance” and prayers before extending his reach to other traditional jurisdictions.
Lamido Adamawa offered prayers for the state’s prosperity and emphasized that leadership is a divine trust.
Following the Lamido’s blessing, Senator Abbas led his delegation to the palaces of the Hama Batta, Gangwari Ganye, and Ptil Madagali.
HRM, Hama Batta Homun Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke, Welcomed the Senator’s respect for traditional protocols and wished him the best of luck in his quest.
HRH, the Gangwari Ganye Alhaji Umaru Adams Sanda, Provided fatherly counsel, urging the Senator to prioritize the unity of the state in all his political dealings.
HRH, the Ptil Madagali Dr. Aliyu Danburam Granted his blessing and emphasized the need for aspirants to focus on the welfare of the people.
