The Member Representing Toungo Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Kalvin Kefas, said in spite of the economic challenges in the State, he has been able to record some achievements in the areas of infrastructure and human capital development in the constituency.

Member Representing Toungo Constituency on the plartform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP)
Kefas who is the Chairman House Standing Committee on Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs of the 8th Assembly provided slides of his various empowerment programmes within his 12 MONTHS in office, ranging from Poverty Eradication Scheme to market men and women, boosting Agricultural activities though providing cash and other farming inputs to farmers, drilling and repairing some boreholes across the constituency.
The lawmaker said he also embarked on construction and renovation of clinics and blocks of classrooms, awarding scholarship to students in tertiary institutions and payment of school fees to some indigent students, among other educational development programs.
He said he is indeed thankful to the benevolent people of the Toungo Constituency who have not only given him the platform but as well handed me their yearning and aspirations.
According to him, In the last 365 days, he relevantly served his constituents and the state at large and contributed positively.
He added that, with his continuous stay and intentional drive, his impact would be tripled and more lives would be affected positively.
He revealed that, as part of activities marking his ONE YEAR in office as member representing Toungo Constituency, he recently Commissioned Some Projects and distributed food items to people across the various wards of the constituency to help cushion the effect of the economic hardship.
Kalvin kefas, while thanking the people of Toungo Constituency and the leadership of ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels for giving him their mandate and support, promised to continually strive to attract dividends of democracy through robust and effective representation.
He added that he will continue to support government efforts aimed at guaranteeing peace, security and welfare of all Adamawa people through effective legislation and oversight, pledging that he will strive to finish the work he have started as he will welcome ideas that will assist him in improving the quality of life of our people.
He further explained that due to sterling qualities and performance of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri the entire state has been transformed and the people indeed appreciate him.
Kefas who is among the most outstanding lawmakers in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, also saluted the leadership qualities of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley and called for unity and cohesion among other political parties in the State legislature to ensure progress and peaceful development of the state.
