The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley, has commended the people of Leko Koma Constituency for their unwavering support for their representative, Bulus Geofrey.
He made the remark when a delegation from the Mayo Hako community in Leko Koma Constituency paid a courtesy visit to Geofrey at the State Assembly Complex in Yola.
Speaking during the visit, Bathiya Wesley lauded the constituents for electing a capable leader like Geofrey, acknowledged his significant contributions in the eighth Assembly.
He reassured the community of the State Assembly’s continued support, pledging that the legislative body will work to enact laws that promote peace, security, and development across Adamawa State.
The Speaker also urged the constituents to maintain their support for Geofrey and the state government, stressing the importance of collective efforts in driving meaningful progress.
In his remarks, the leader of the delegation and former Permanent Secretary in the Adamawa State Civil Service, Alhaji Mahmud Abubakar, expressed the community’s gratitude to Bulus Geofrey for revitalizing their long-neglected clinic.
He described the lawmaker as a true representative who prioritizes the welfare of his constituents, noting the remarkable transformation of the constituency under his leadership.
Abubakar further pledged the community’s unwavering support for Geofrey, promising to stand by him at all times.
In his response, the Member representing Leko Koma constituency, Bulus Geofrey expressed his appreciation to the delegation for their visit and reaffirmed his commitment to further improving the constituency.
He called on the community to continue supporting Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the state Assembly to ensure the continued delivery of the dividends of democracy.
