The first batch of pilgrims from Adamawa State has safely arrived in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The MaxAir flight NGL3077, carrying 550 pilgrims and 10 officials, departed Yola Airport at 02:51 hours on June 1, 2024, and landed in Madinah at 07:19 AM Nigerian time.
The group comprised 355 male and 195 female pilgrims, all part of the annual Hajj pilgrimage organized by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
This flight marks a significant step in the Hajj operations for this year, bringing the total number of airlifted pilgrims to 35,401 across 84 flights.
NAHCON has been commended for its efficient coordination and logistics management, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of Nigerian pilgrims.
The successful arrival of the Adamawa State pilgrims reflects the state Pilgrims Welfare commitment under the leadership of Mallam Salihu Abubakar and participating airlines like MaxAir in facilitating a smooth pilgrimage experience.
This milestone is a testament to the meticulous planning and execution by NAHCON and State Commission as well as aviation authorities, ensuring that pilgrims can fulfill their religious obligations with peace of mind.
