Momentum has continued to build within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State as the party’s Transition Committee intensifies the inauguration of Local Government transition structures across the state.
During the latest round of inaugurations in Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha and Hong Local Government Areas, Chairman of the State Transition Committee, Rt. Hon. Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, expressed gratitude for what he described as an “impressive and encouraging turnout,” despite the short notice and streamlined nature of the events.
Dasin said the massive attendance reflected the growing acceptance of the ADC at the grassroots and the readiness of the people to embrace a new political direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He urged members of the inaugurated committees to double their efforts, uphold fairness, promote inclusivity, and ensure cohesion in mobilizing support for the party. He also encouraged youths and women to see the ADC as a safe and welcoming political platform.
Earlier, Hon. Yahaya Hamanjulde emphasized the importance of strengthening grassroots mobilization, stating that it was necessary for the ADC to provide an alternative to what he termed the “insensitive Government of the ruling APC.” He reaffirmed the support of key stakeholders for the transition process.
The State Transition Committee also extended appreciation to the National Chairman of the ADC, Senator David Mark; the North-East Zonal Chairman, Engr. Babachir David Lawal; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar (Waziri Adamawa); Senator Bindow Jibrilla; Senator Abdulazeez Nyako; Ambassador Omar Suleiman; Modibbo H. Tukur; Senator Ishaku Abbo; Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani; Mr. Daniel Bwala and several other influential stakeholders whose support, the committee said, had strengthened its activities across Adamawa State.
Representatives of youth, women and elder groups from the participating Local Government Areas reaffirmed their readiness to mobilize support for the party at the grassroots. They, however, appealed to the state leadership to ensure strict adherence to guidelines and fairness to all members of the ADC coalition.
With increasing turnout and visible enthusiasm across communities, recent activities of the Dasin led state transition committee appear to underscore the widening appeal and rising popularity of the ADC in Adamawa State.
