In a significant effort to alleviate the hardship faced by his constituents, the Member Representing Mayo Belwa Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu has flagged off the distribution of over 600 bags of rice to his constituents.
The flag-off ceremony took place at his home town in Mayo Belwa, Thursday.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Kallamu revealed that, the distribution was aimed at reducing the suffering of the people in the constituency.
He lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for providing constituency allowances that enable legislators to implement such beneficial projects for their communities.
Kallamu also assured his constituents of more developmental projects, particularly focusing on farming, youth and women empowerment.
Speaking, the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, who was represented by the deputy majority leader of the house and Member Representing Maiha Constituency, Hon Ahmed Jingi Belel, praised Kallamu for his proactive approach in supporting his constituents.
He also commended Governor Fintiri for his remarkable efforts in transforming Adamawa State.
The Speaker urged the residents of Mayo Belwa to continue supporting Kallamu to ensure the continued flow of democratic benefits.
Also speaking, the state Commissioner for Entrepreneurship Development, Comrade Hammanjumba Gatugel, highlighted that Mayo Belwa Constituency is fortunate to have Kallamu as their representative, describing the gesture as unprecedented.
Several political figures, including the Chairmanship Aspirant for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Mayo Belwa Local Government Council, Mr. Umar Nashon Ngubi, and the PDP Vice Chairman of Mayo Belwa Local Government Area, Ismail Enoch lauded Kallamu for his dedication to serving the people.
The distribution beneficiaries included persons living with disabilities, support and pressure groups, religious organizations, party members, and other underprivileged individuals in the area.
