The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area have renewed their commitment to unity, loyalty, and continued support for the party.
They stated this during a strategic meeting held at the Government Lodge in Mayo-Belwa.
The meeting brought together key party executives from the local government and all 12 political wards to deliberate on critical issues affecting the party ahead of upcoming political activities.
Hon. Musa Mahmud Kallamu, member representing Mayo-Belwa Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, was among the prominent figures present.
In his address, Hon. Kallamu urged stakeholders to remain steadfast and united in order to uphold the party’s values.
“You already have a house well established,” he said. “You’re enjoying its benefits here and there. How then do you begin to think of abandoning it to start a new one? Be wise and think twice,” Hon. Kallamu cautioned.
He warned against divisive tendencies and acts of betrayal, urging party members to shun hypocrisy and remain loyal to the PDP, which he described as “the strongest party ever.”
Also speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Mayo-Belwa, Hon. Umar Nashon Gubi, reeled out various developmental projects initiated by the Adamawa State Government under his administration.
He assured the gathering that more projects were underway.
“We will continue to ensure that our people enjoy the dividends of democracy. You will never regret voting us in,” Gubi affirmed.
Comrade Hammanjumba Gatugel, state Commissioner for Entrepreneurhip reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP, stating that he has remained committed to the party even since his days as a civil servant.
Ismaila Enoch, Vice Chairman of PDP Mayo-Belwa LG, described the attendees as “bonafide PDP members” and encouraged other stakeholders to emulate the inclusive leadership style of Hon. Kallamu and Chairman Gubi.
He emphasized that unity within the party is essential for progress, adding that “no member’s efforts should be allowed to go in vain.”
The Mayo-Belwa PDP stakeholders’ meeting ended on a high note, with members recommitting to strengthening the party at the grassroots and consolidating gains ahead of future political engagements.
