The National Association of Mayo-Belwa Students (NAMS) has officially presented a letter of appreciation to Hon. Musa Mahmud Kallamu, Member representing Mayo-Belwa Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, for his remarkable contributions toward the advancement of education and youth empowerment in the constituency.
In the letter, signed by the association’s Secretary General, Comr. Isa Mohammed, NAMS lauded Hon. Kallamu for his “outstanding commitment toward the growth of education and youth development,” describing his interventions as a model of purposeful representation.
The association specifically highlighted the achievements of the MMK Education Intervention Committee, which has sponsored over 120 students, funded WAEC examination centres, settled Gengle WAEC Centre de-recognition fees, and organized the MMK Students Training and Mentorship Programme to improve academic performance among young learners.
NAMS further commended Hon. Kallamu for his direct involvement in teaching and mentoring students, as well as his support for the 2025 Children’s Day Celebration, which inspired many young people to pursue excellence in their studies.
Responding to the gesture, Hon. Kallamu expressed deep appreciation to the leadership of NAMS for the recognition, describing education as the “strongest weapon for community transformation.” He reaffirmed his continued commitment to supporting students and promoting inclusive educational development across Mayo-Belwa and Adamawa State at large.
“This recognition from our young scholars means a lot to me. It encourages us to do more in ensuring that every child in Mayo-Belwa has access to quality education and opportunities to thrive,” Hon. Kallamu stated.
He further assured that more student-centered programmes, training opportunities, and educational interventions are being planned to sustain the progress already achieved.
The Mayo-Belwa lawmaker reiterated his belief that investing in education remains the most effective way to build responsible future leaders and foster lasting community development.
