Inview of the enourmous important of water to human being and animals, An Islamic organization, Daawah for Jannah initiative has commenced sinking of 40 water Wells in Fulani settlements across Mayo-Belwa local government area.
The project which is being implemented by Muslim Youths for Peace Awareness Forum MYPAF aimed at providing Fulani Nomads with portable drinking water for domestic and animals use.
Chairman of MYPAF Mr Muhammad Umar during the Flagg off ceremony of the project at Mararraban Mbilla a fulani settlement in Mayo Belwa local government area, said the gesture will go along way in alleviating suffering of the communites in terms water.
“Lack of water has been a major challenge for fulani Nomads which has been a conflict between the farmers and headers, but with the initiative of Daawah for Jannah initiative the problem will be drastically curtail,” he said.
The Chairman explained that the project will be extended to other communities across Adamawa southern Zone which is for the past is experiencing farmer-herder clashes.
Mr Umar urged the benefiting communities to take ownership of the facilities for its sustenance.
Speaking to Hantsi News reporter, some beneficiaries, lauded the Daawah for Jannah initiative for the gesture and appreciated MYPAF for facilitating the project.
They described the gesture as first its kind which will improve their social well-being and their animals.
