In a unanimous decision, the Councillors of the legislative arm of Maiha Local Government at its sitting on January 16, 2024, passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Abubakar Mustapha.
The Councillors in a motion sponsored, seconded and supported by others, expressed satisfaction with the tremendous strides the administration of Hon. Abubakar Mustapha has achieved so far.
This was contained in a letter signed by the clerk of council Jinteno E. Tonkloso and presented to the Chairman at his office in Maiha.
“Following a motion sponsored on the floor of the Hon. Council and subsequent deliberation by the Hon. Council, I am directed to write and inform you that, the hon. Council members has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on your leadership style.” the statement reads.
According to the letter, the council has saluted the doggedness and stand to bring positive development at the grassroots level and prayed for more opportunity to continue to serve the good people of Maiha Local Government in particular and Adamawa State in General.
Speaking during the visit, the leadership of the council said the achievements and healthy relationship of the Executive Chairman with the Councillors in Maiha Local Government Area made them to pass a vote of confidence on his administration.
Responding, the council chairman Maiha Local Government Hon. Abubakar Mustapha who received the letter from the lawmakers, appreciated them for their support so far and pledged to make their welfare a priority.
Hon. Habu. Mustapha while commending Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support to the council chairman and commitment in transforming the state, urged them to work harmoniously to bring continuity to this season of good governance at the grassroots.
