The Adamawa State Transition implementation Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), chaired by Rt. Hon. Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, has commenced the statewide inauguration of Local Government Transition Committees, beginning with Madagali and Michika.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held in Gulak, Madagali Local Government Area, Dasin urged committee members to strictly adhere to the guidelines establishing the committees and work diligently to strengthen the party’s presence at the grassroots.
He commended the impressive turnout of members despite the strict and low-key nature of the invitation, noting that the enthusiasm demonstrated the party’s growing influence in the area.
Dasin charged party leaders in Madagali to ensure inclusivity in their operations while developing strategic plans to attract new members ahead of the anticipated membership registration and revalidation exercise.
He emphasized the party’s commitment to promoting youth and women participation, revealing that the ADC aims to reserve about 60 percent of its structure for these groups. He urged them to take ownership of the party and contribute to its progress.
Earlier, Hon. Yahaya Hamanjulde reaffirmed the directive of the National Working Committee authorizing the Zonal Chairman, Engineer Babachir David Lawal, to inaugurate the State Transition Committee, noting that this mandate also extends to the inauguration of local government and ward level committees.
Also speaking during the Michika inauguration, Hon. Fakuta Naiwa assured women of their importance within the party, stressing that the ADC constitution fully protects and promotes women’s involvement in political activities.
The State Transition Committee also expressed profound gratitude to the National Chairman of the party, Senator David Mark, the Zonal Chairman (North East) Engr.
Babachir David Lawal, former Vice President of Nigeria Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (Waziri Adamawa), Senator Bindow Jibrilla, Senator Abdulazeez Nyako, Ambassador Omar Suleiman, Modibbo H. Tukur, Senator Ishaku Abbo, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani, Mr. Daniel Bwala, and other key stakeholders whose support and guidance continue to strengthen the party’s activities across Adamawa State.
The inauguration exercises in both Madagali and Michika were conducted by Rt. Hon. Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, who serves as Chairman of the State Transition and Implementation Committee.
