The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Shelleng Local Government Area of Adamawa State has reaffirmed its commitment to rebuilding the party and restoring its lost glory, following the appointment of Mr. Christopher Kadiri as the new Acting Chairman.
The declaration was made during a special thanksgiving service held in Shelleng to celebrate the emergence of Mr. Kadiri, which attracted prominent party stakeholders, executives, and supporters from across the area.
In his address, the new Acting Chairman, Mr. Christopher Kadiri, expressed deep appreciation to party members and stakeholders for organizing the event in his honor.
He pledged to focus on unity, inclusiveness, and progress, while assuring members that under his leadership, the era of religious and ethnic sentiments in the party was over.
He emphasized the need for all members to close ranks and work together for the transformation of the APC in Shelleng.
Mr. Kadiri also praised the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for his unwavering commitment to strengthening the party across Adamawa State, describing him as a symbol of unity and progress.
Also speaking, the APC Secretary in Shelleng and former Commissioner for Livestock, Dr. Isa Salihu Barima, described Mr. Kadiri as a unifying figure with the capacity to reposition the party at the grassroots.
He noted that the APC in Shelleng was entering a new chapter of unity and purposeful leadership.
Dr. Barima further described Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as the leader of the APC in Adamawa State, commending his dedication to fostering peace, discipline, and unity within the party.
He called on all members to continue supporting the efforts of both Ribadu and the new acting chairman to ensure a stronger and more vibrant APC in the area.
In separate goodwill messages, the Woman Leader of the party, Ramatu Ibrahim, the Treasurer, Musa Johnsong, and a stakeholder, Musa Hussaini Shelleng, also hailed the appointment of Mr. Kadiri.
They applauded Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for playing a key role in reconciling party members and strengthening the APC’s foundation in the state.
