The Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN) has staged a massive solidarity rally in Abuja to express its support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The rally, which attracted members from various chapters across the country, featured a peaceful convoy of tricycle operators parading through major streets of the Federal Capital Territory.

Among the participants was a strong delegation from the Adamawa State chapter.

With banners, flags, and coordinated uniforms, TOAN members voiced their appreciation for the federal government’s efforts in improving security and supporting grassroots economic activities.

Speaking at the event, the Adamawa State Chairman of TOAN, Comrade Bashir Jimeta, said the association is fully aligned with the Tinubu-led administration.

“We believe in supporting the government because we are witnessing the benefits. In Adamawa State, we now sleep with our eyes closed, thanks to improved security. That’s why we mobilized in full force to show our support for President Tinubu’s administration,” he said.

The association stressed the need for continued collaboration with the federal government, particularly in addressing security challenges that affect transport operators nationwide.

TOAN leaders noted that safer roads translate to better business opportunities and improved livelihoods for their members.

The rally also served as a platform to call on tricycle operators across Nigeria to remain united and cooperative with government efforts.

According to TOAN, collective support is essential for the country to fully enjoy the dividends of democracy.

As the event wound down peacefully, TOAN renewed its appeal to the Tinubu administration to introduce empowerment initiatives and inclusive policies aimed at uplifting the tricycle transport sector.

The association maintains that with the right support, tricycle operators will continue to play a vital role in Nigeria’s transport economy and community development.
