The Transition Committee, established by the Chairman of Mayo Belwa Local Government Council, Honorable Umar Nashong Gubi, has officially submitted its report.
The committee, chaired by Hajiya Mariya Adamu, was tasked with reviewing the activities of the previous administration.
During the submission ceremony held at local government secretariat Mayo Belwa, Hajiya Mariya Adamu expressed gratitude to the Chairman for entrusting the committee with this significant responsibility.
She also commended the staff of the Local Government Area for their support and cooperation throughout the assignment.
Adamu expressed optimism that the committee’s findings and recommendations would be implemented to enhance governance and service delivery in Mayo Belwa.
Receiving the report, the Executive Chairman of Mayo Belwa Local Government Council, Hon Umar Nashong Gubi emphasized the council’s desire for the Transition Committee to develop a roadmap that will deliver abundant dividends of democracy to the people of Mayo Belwa.
Gubi pledged to carefully review the report with the aim of implementing its recommendations for the betterment of the Local Government Area.
In their goodwill messages, Abubakar Kawu Jada, the Director of Personnel Management of the local government council, and Honorable Ashibiyan Bulus, the leader of the council, praised the committee for a job well done.
They also commended the Chairman for taking a step in the right direction by establishing the Transition Committee.
The comprehensive report is expected to provide a strategic framework for improving governance and service delivery in Mayo Belwa, reflecting the council’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and development.
