The All Progressives Congress has officially declared Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad as the winner of its House of Representatives primary election for Yola North, Yola South, and Girei Federal Constituency.
With the announcement, Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad has emerged as the party’s flagbearer for the constituency ahead of the forthcoming general election.
The declaration followed the conclusion of the party’s primary exercise, which witnessed massive participation of APC members across various wards in Yola South, Yola North, and Girei Local Government Areas.
Party supporters and residents across the constituency welcomed the outcome with celebrations, describing the victory as a reflection of the confidence reposed in Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad’s leadership, commitment to development, and vision for effective representation.
Our correspondent reports that large turnouts were recorded during the primary election in wards including Makama B, Mbamoi, Namtari, and Makama A in Yola South, while similar participation was observed across Yola North and Girei.
Supporters of the APC candidate have expressed optimism that his emergence will strengthen the party’s chances in the constituency, while calling for unity among members as preparations begin for the next phase of the electoral process.
