Another 20 youths in Adamawa State have benefited from the CNG-Powered tricycle empowerment scheme facilitated by the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), as part of efforts to promote self-reliance and improve livelihoods.
The distribution took place at the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ office in Yola.
Speaking during the event, TOAN Adamawa State Chairman, Comrade Bashir Muhammad Jimeta, appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the initiative, saying it would go a long way in supporting young people and preparing them for a productive future.
He disclosed that another batch of youths would soon benefit from the scheme, which he described as part of the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda to promote the use of CNG and cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal.
Comrade Bashir urged the beneficiaries and other youths to support President Tinubu and APC candidates, while calling for continued commitment to the administration’s development agenda.
Earlier, TOAN Adamawa State Secretary, Salihu Abubakar, commended Bashir Jimeta for his efforts in securing the empowerment scheme and urged the beneficiaries to make productive use of the tricycles to support themselves and their families.
In a goodwill message, the Coordinator of the Rural Youths Initiative for Good Governance, Hon. Muhammad Raji Alfa, also praised Bashir Jimeta for his commitment to youth empowerment and pledged the group’s support for APC candidates.
The latest distribution brings the number of youths who have benefited from the scheme to 50 across the two batches, based on the previously reported distribution of 30 tricycles.
