In a few days, In Shaa Allah, the People’s Comrade Campaign Team will begin its tour of the seven local government areas of Adamawa Central Senatorial District to seek the support and votes of the people for our candidate, Comr. Mustapha Salihu, Esq., Ph.D.
As we prepare to take this campaign to the grassroots, it is important to remind our people of one thing: leadership is not just about what a man promises during an election; it is also about what he has done for the people when nobody is asking for their votes.
Mustapha Salihu’s record of humanitarian service and community development deserves to be heard across Adamawa Central. I have personally been part of some of these engagements, and I can testify to the impact of his interventions.
I was part of the People’s Comrade entourage, alongside Hon. Hammadiko, when we travelled to Fufore Local Government Area. On that occasion, Comrade Mustapha Salihu donated a megawatt-capacity transformer to strengthen electricity supply to the benefiting communities, with the potential to serve a wider area extending towards Yola and neighbouring border communities of republic of cameroon.
Beyond electricity, he contributed ₦5 million towards the rehabilitation of one of the area’s major schools, demonstrating his commitment to education and the welfare of the people of Fufore.
At the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola, in Yola South Local Government Area, I was also part of the team that accompanied Comrade Mustapha Salihu during the donation of dialysis equipment to support patients battling kidney-related illnesses.
His intervention did not end there. He also took responsibility for sponsoring a kidney transplant, an undertaking that came at a significant financial cost.
For families struggling to afford life-saving treatment, such gestures mean far more than political statements. They represent hope at a time when hope is desperately needed.
Flooding and erosion have remained serious challenges for some residents of Yola North. Recognising the danger posed by blocked drainage channels, Comrade Mustapha Salihu intervened in the evacuation of the major drainage system running from Alkalawa through Yelwa to Rumde.
This was a practical response to a problem that affects homes, livelihoods and the safety of ordinary residents.
At the economic summit organised in Hong Local Government Area, Comrade Mustapha Salihu reportedly made a ₦50 million donation towards initiatives aimed at improving the economic fortunes of the people.
At a time when communities are searching for opportunities, investment and sustainable development, such support deserves public attention and proper assessment of the impact it delivers.
THE CAMPAIGN IS COMING, BUT THE RECORD MUST SPEAK FIRST!
As we prepare to visit every corner of Adamawa Central, our message is simple: the people deserve leadership that understands their struggles, responds to their needs and remains connected to their communities.
Elections are moments of decision. They give the people the opportunity to reflect on leadership, examine records and decide who deserves their mandate.
As a member of the People’s Comrade family, I believe the people of Adamawa Central should take a close look at Comrade Mustapha Salihu’s contributions to humanitarian causes, education, healthcare, electricity and community development.
Our campaign will reach the seven local government areas. We will engage our people, listen to their concerns and present our case for the future of Adamawa Central.
The struggle continues..!
The people remain our priority..!
And the journey towards victory begins with the people..!
To be continued…
