The Center for Women and Adolescent Empowerment (CWAE), Yola has expressed concern over what it described as lack of teaching and learning facilities in some public schools in Adamawa.
This is contained in a communique issued at the end of its Coalition meeting held at the center in Yola.
It says the situation of some public schools in the state has become a major source of concern as some has not furnitures for students.
The coalition appealed to Government at all level to take education as it’s priot for a Bette society.
The Center also in it’s coalition meeting discussed issues related to health urging citizens to avoid taking drugs unnecessarily to protect them from contracting diseases.
On the recent court verdicts in the country, the coalition appealed to judiciary to rise up to the expectation of public as a last hope of a common man.
The coalition also expressed concern on rising of insecurity in the state and commended Adamawa state government for prompt response on hotel incident in the state.
It described the State Governments instruction on hotels to secure CCTV cameras as commendable saying it will go along way in checking further occurrence of the incidences.
On the Adamawa State Approved Budget for 2024, Members of the coalition noted with concerns the funds Allocated to Ministries of Health and Education stressing the need for the highest allocation for optimum performance.
The Coalition also pledged to monitor the forthcoming bye-election in mayo Belwa constituency slated for February third, 2024.
