The Ophans Welfare Committee of Muslim Council Mayo Belwa local government area has distributed clothing Materials to over one thousand Ophans in the area to celebrate this year edil fitr.
The official flagg off of the distribution was done at Mayo Belwa central Mosque Sunday.
The Chairman of the committee who is also the Former chairman of Mayo Belwa local government Council Mallam Muhammadu said the committee had this year received contributions of over two million naira from some individuals in mayo Belwa.
The Chairman reiterated that the committee is poised at assisting the Ophans in the areas of education, Health as well as their Welfare.
While appreciating those contributed to the committee to cater for the Ophans, Mallam Bako emphasized the need for Wealthy Muslims to help the needy and Ophans for them to feel a sense of belonging.
Earlier, in an Opening remark, Chairman Muslim Council Mayo Belwa local government area Modibbo Ahmadu Liman Aminu lauded the committee for a job well done and thanked those who contributed.
In a presentation, Deputy Chief Imam Mayo Belwa Central Mosquez Ustaz Mahmud Imam called on Muslims to support Ophans as its attract bountiful reward from Allah.
On his part, the District Head of Mayo Belwa Ardo Muhammadu Bamanga Dalil represented by the Galadima Mayo, Mallam Muhammad Umar commended Muslim Council for its efforts at ensuring Welfare of Ophans and appealed to other Muslims to assist the Ophans and the needy.
