Adamawa state Chapter of the African Democratic Congress ADC has called on its teaming supporters and executives in Mayo Belwa local government area to come out en Messe and vote for Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu of people’s Democratic party PDP in the February, 3rd, bye election.
State chairman of the party, Mr Yohanna Shehu who made the call in an interview with newsmen said, the decision of the party to support PDP candidate followed its meeting with critical stakeholders who unanimously agreed to support PDP in the coming election.
He explained that Kallamu who has good record in terms repressentation of Mayo Belwa constituency in his first and second tenure, need to be reelected for the third term for quality representation.
According to him, while in the state Assembly, Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu has sponsored bills and resolutions that have direct bearing on the lives of not only his Constituents but Adamawa at large.
He implored the ADC Supporters in mayo Belwa to deliver Kallamu during the bye election for the Development of the area.
Answering the Clarion call, ADC secretary Mayo Belwa, Hon Abubakar Jalo Elhabs described the decision of the party as a step in right direction assuring to massively vote for Kallamu for the Development of the area.
He alleged that the APC candidate who was first elected under the platform of ADC has failed the party, therefore urged all ADC members to vote Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu of PDP.
It could be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has fixed February third,2024 to conduct bye election in 7 Pulling units of Mayo Belwa constituency after the court verdict on the election conducted in the Constituency.
