JANUARY DATELINE: Over 1000 Adamawa Intending Pilgrims Deposit 4.5M Hajj Fare For 2024

The Permanent Secretary and Executive secretary Adamawa state Muslim pilgrims welfares commission Mal Abubakar salihu disclosed that a total of 1256 pilgrims from Adamawa state made payment of their Hajj fares so far for the 2024 Pilgrimage to mecca.

He stated this while receiving the newly posted Immigration Comptroller to Adamawa state Muhammed adamu Azare on a courtesy call a the commission’s headquarters in Yola.

Mal Salihu Abubakar who appreciated the Comptroller for the visit, solicited for more cordial working relationship with the Commission for smooth hajj Operation in the state.

While assuring the Comptroller Muhammad Azare of the Commission’s support and cooperation in achieving their mutual objectives, the Executive Secretary stressed the need for intending Pilgrims to hasten payment of their fare before the end of January.

He said the visit of the newly comptroller who was accompanied by the passport officer Abdullahi Dan Dogari, is the first of its kind ever to the commission by any comptroller of Immigration in Adamawa state.

Earlier, the new Immigration Boss Muhammad Azare who hinted the aim of their visit to the Commission, assured that henceforth issues in relation to delay on issuance of passport especially to intending pilgrims will be a thing of the past in Adamawa and urged the commission to immediately submit names of any pilgrim whose passport is still pending with the immigration.
