A House of Representatives aspirant for Mayo Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo Federal Constituency, under the platform of All Progressives Congress APC Hon. Saeed Khalifa Usman, has pledged to deliver true and inclusive representation if elected.
He made the commitment during a town hall meeting with community groups, religious leaders, youth and other stakeholders held in Mayo Belwa Local Government Area.
Addressing the gathering, Khalifa expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received from his people, describing it as humbling and emotional.
He said the support shown to him has strengthened his resolve to serve the constituency with dedication, fairness and responsibility.
“Today is not just about politics, it is about justice, fairness and the future of our constituency,” he said.
The aspirant highlighted the historical contributions of the people of the area to the development of Adamawa State and Nigeria, noting that the constituency has produced notable leaders who have delivered impactful projects, particularly in road construction and in sectors such as education and healthcare.
He also referenced past development initiatives such as those executed under the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), which he said brought visible improvements to infrastructure and public services.
Khalifa further praised past leaders from the area for their roles in youth empowerment, skills acquisition, agricultural development and healthcare interventions, stressing the need to build on those legacies.
The grassroots politician also called on constituents across Ganye, Jada and Toungo to support Mayo Belwa in producing the next representative, assuring that his leadership would focus on unity and equitable development.
.He promised to introduce programmes aimed at empowering youths and women to become self-reliant, while also prioritising interventions in education, healthcare and job creation.
Hon. Saeed Khalifa Usman reaffirmed his commitment to working with all stakeholders to ensure sustainable development and improved living standards across the constituency.
Speaking at the event, an elder statesman from the area, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, urged residents of Mayo Belwa to rally behind Khalifa’s aspiration in order to give the area the opportunity to produce the next member representing the constituency.
Earlier in his remark, Ibrahim Hayatu (PPO) thanked the people of Mayo Belwa for the massive turnout and urged them to rally round behind Saeed Khalifa Usman for meaningful representation.
He added that the time is now for Mayo Belwa, calling for greater collaboration and support among the people.
Various speakers at the event extolled the leadership qualities of Saeed Khalifa Usman and promised to mobilise support for his success.
Earlier, Hon. Saeed Khalifa Usman and his entourage paid a visit to the palace of the District Head of Mayo Belwa, Alhaji Muhammadu Bamanga Dalil, where they sought royal blessings ahead of the engagement.
