The Executive Secretary Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission Yola Mallam Abubakar Salihu has announced that two thousand four hundred and eighty eight seats were allocated to the commission by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON for twenty twenty four Hajj exercise.
He disclosed this in a press conference at the commission’s Headquarters in Yola Tuesday.
Mallam Salihu explained that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has granted approval to the commission to kickstart twenty twenty four Hajj activities following the seats allocation by National Body.
He urged intending Pilgrims to deposit at least four point five million naira for their Hajj fare pending the official announcement of the fare.
The Executive Secretary appealed to the intending Pilgrims to hasten the payment on or before the end of this year as next year’s Hajj exercise differs with the previous once noting Saudi authorities will close Visa issuance around March- April twenty twenty four.
Speaking on the just concluded twenty twenty three Hajj exercise, Mallam Abubakar Salihu described the exercise as hundred percent success which attracted two National Award of recognition from Independent Hajj Reporters and Observers to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as best performing Governor interms of Hajj operation and the state Commission for enlightening Pilgrims during the exercise.
The Executive Secretary also noted that he has approved the refund of Excess payment for twenty-twenty three Adamawa Pilgrims.
While appreciating Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his unflinching support to the commission, Mallam Abubakar appealed to staff of the commission to double efforts for optimum performance.
