The Sadia Ambassadors Network (SAN) has officially flagged off the Jimeta Clean Initiative in Yola, aimed at promoting environmental sanitation and encouraging community participation in maintaining a cleaner environment.
Speaking at the event, the convener of the initiative, House of Representative Aspirant for Yola North Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency under the platform of All Progressives Congress APC , Mrs. Sadia Lamanju Bishi, said the Jimeta Clean Initiative is a people-driven movement aimed at changing attitudes toward sanitation, promoting responsibility, and instilling discipline in environmental practices.
She noted that the initiative reflects her commitment to the development of Yola North, Yola South, and Girei Federal Constituency, stressing that a clean environment is essential for healthy living and community growth.
Mrs. Sadia Bishi commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his commitment to infrastructural development and urban renewal across Adamawa State.
She noted that his administration has brought visible transformation, particularly in road construction, environmental sanitation, and public service delivery, restoring hope and confidence among residents.
The House of Representatives hopeful called on the people of Yola North, Yola South, and Girei to support her political ambition, pledging to drive meaningful development across the constituency.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Director of the Adamawa State Environmental Protection Agency, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Umar, commended the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that aligns with the state government’s efforts in improving sanitation and environmental management.
He assured that the agency would provide technical support through its departments of Environmental Health and Sanitation, Waste Management, and Natural Resources Conservation, emphasizing that collective responsibility is key to sustaining a clean environment.
Also speaking, the District Head of Karewa, represented by the Galadima Karewa, Alhaji Uba Audu Umar, applauded Mrs. Bishi for the initiative, describing it as a step toward improving sanitation in the community.
In their goodwill messages, Hon. Margaret Mchirga, APC Women Leader from Taraba State, alongside Hauwa from Abuja, described Mrs. Bishi as a woman of integrity and urged the people of Yola North, Yola South, and Girei to support her for meaningful development.
Earlier, the Guest Speaker at the event, Sani Salihu Mohammed, Programme Manager of GHASAF, also commended the initiative and urged residents of Jimeta to actively participate in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
The Jimeta Clean Initiative is expected to mobilize residents, volunteers, and stakeholders toward building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable community.
