Thousands of Muslim faithfuls who are members of Tijjaniya converged at the residence of late Sheikh Zailani Yola to comemorate the birthday of prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon him.
The Maulud which annually observed at the residence drew Muslims from within and outside Adamawa including neighboring Cameroon republic.
In a remark, Khalifa Modibbo Zailani sheikh Hamidu Gudummiyya encouraged the congregation to imbibe the culture of reciatation of holy Qur’an and follow the teachings of prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon him.
He emphasized the need for Muslims to fear Allah in all their dealings for them to succeed in life.
The Khalifa of Tijjaniya in Nigeria, Muhammadu Sanusi who was represented by Dan Jarma Adamawa Alhaji Mustapha Tahir congratulated Muslims on the occasion of this year Maulud and urged them to intensify prayers for peace and tranquility in the state and country in general.
Speaking in an interview with our reporter, Professor Shehu of Modibbo Adama University Yola appealed to Muslims to use the knowledge acquired during the Maulud as well as emulate virtues of the holy prophet peace be Upon him.
On his part, the deputy chief imam Modibbo Adama Mosque, Uztaz Tijjani Tahir described this years Maulud as success.
