The Adamawa State House of Assembly has confirmed Mr. Niwesa George Kushi as the part-time Chairman of the Jimeta Ultra-Modern Market Board, following a nomination by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The confirmation came after the House received the report from its Committee on Commerce and Industry, which had earlier screened the nominee.
The report was presented during the Monday’s resumed plenary session by the Vice Chairman of the Committee and Member representating of Mubi North Constituency, Paul Emmanuel.
During discussions on the report, the Member representing Numan Constituency, Mr Pwamwakeno Mackondo praised the committee for its thorough work and called for the adoption of the report.
Following the adoption of the report, Majority Leader of the house and Member representing Demsa Constituency, Kate Raymond Mamuno moved for the confirmation of Nominee which the House unanimously approved.
Speaker Bathiya Wesley, who presided over the plenary, directed the Clerk of the House to inform Governor Fintiri of the resolution for further action.
It could be recalled that the house received a letter from the Governor on September tenth, twenty twenty four requesting the screening and approval of the nominee.
Meanwhile, in an interview with State Assembly Correspondents, Mr Niwesa George Kushi appreciated the lawmakers for confirming him and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his confidence in him.
