The member-elect Mayobelwa constituency, Musa Mahmoud Kallamu was issued a certificate of return by the Adamawa office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Hon Mahmud Kallamu received the certificate at the INEC headquarters in Yola on Thursday, 8th February 2024.
Presenting the certificate to Hon Kallamu who was accompanied by his wife Hajiya Sa’adatu Musa Mahmud as well as friends and associates, the acting resident Electoral Commissioner, Adamu Gujungu congratulated Kallamu on his victory in the last re run election.
The member-elect was accompanied at the office of electoral umpire by his team supporters including the PDP family, political associates, and friends.
Speaking shortly to journalists, Hon Musa Mahmud thanked the electoral body for the timely presentation of a certificate returned to him, which affirmed his election victory during the Saturday, 3rd February, 2024 bye election in Mayobelwa constituency..
It could be recalled that Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu of PDP was declared the winner during the state assembly bye-election conducted by INEC in seven polling units in the Mayobelwa constituency.
Hon Musa Mahmud is expected to be sworn in very soon as a full-fledged member of the Eighth Assembly in Adamawa state following his victory against the incumbent, Ibrahim Musa Italiya at the bye-election held in the area.
