The Senator Representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Aminu Iya Abbas has commiserated with the Government and People of Adamawa State and Hong Local Government in Particular, over the death of Maj. Gen MH Garba, who died after a brief illness at Cedar Crest Hospital Abuja Wednesday.
The Senator in a condolence message through his Yola Media Office and made available to newsmen Thursday, described the death of late Garba Hong as a huge loss not only to his family but the state and the country as whole.
Expressing shock and sadness over the demise of Garba Hong, Senator Iya Abbas who hails from same Local Government with the deceased, extolled the virtues of the late General, who had over the years, demonstrated patriotism and professionalism in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities.
While extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of the RTD General, Abbas prayed to God to grant the departed soul eternal rest and give the members of his immediate and extended family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He said, “On behalf of the people of Adamawa Central Senatorial district, I sympathize with the Nigerian Army Forces and indeed the people Adamawa State and Nigeria in General.
