Mayo Belwa PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Dr. Titus Obadiah, Flags Off Campaign Ahead of LG Polls

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate for Mayo Belwa Local Government Area, Dr. Titus Obadiah, has officially launched his campaign ahead of the forthcoming local government elections, drawing a massive turnout of supporters, party loyalists, traditional stakeholders, and community members.

The campaign flag-off, held in Mayo Belwa, marked the beginning of grassroots mobilization efforts by the PDP candidate across the local government area, with supporters describing the event as a demonstration of growing confidence in the party’s chances at the polls.

Earlier before the commencement of the campaign activities, the PDP Adamawa State governorship candidate, Chief Morris Vonobolki, alongside party leaders and supporters, paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the District Head of Mayo Belwa, Ardo Muhammadu Bamanga Dalil, where they sought royal blessings and prayers ahead of the election.

The event witnessed the presence of prominent PDP leaders, including the party’s Adamawa State governorship candidate, Chief Morris Vonobolki, whose attendance highlighted the party’s support for Dr. Obadiah’s ambition.

Addressing supporters at the rally, Dr. Titus Obadiah appreciated the people of Mayo Belwa and PDP stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him, assuring residents of purposeful and inclusive leadership if elected into office.

He pledged to prioritize projects and policies that would improve the welfare of residents, strengthen community development, and ensure that governance remains people-centered.

Chief Morris Vonobolki, while speaking at the event, urged party members and supporters to remain united and committed to the ideals of the PDP, stressing that electoral victory would depend on sustained grassroots engagement and collective effort.

He described Dr. Obadiah as a capable and competent leader with the capacity to drive meaningful development across Mayo Belwa Local Government Area.

The PDP Adamawa State Chairman, Engr. Belmont Dogo, formally presented the party flag to Dr. Obadiah, charging him to justify the confidence placed in him by working tirelessly for the development and progress of the local government if elected.

Several stakeholders who spoke during the event praised the chairmanship candidate for what they described as his longstanding support for vulnerable members of society and commitment to community service, maintaining that he remains the right candidate for the position.

The campaign flag-off also featured goodwill messages from party leaders, cultural performances, and the unveiling of campaign strategies aimed at strengthening the PDP’s support base across wards and communities in Mayo Belwa.

Supporters at the gathering expressed optimism that the large turnout and enthusiasm displayed during the event reflected increasing acceptance of Dr. Obadiah’s candidacy and improved prospects for the party in the forthcoming election.
