Commissioner commits to economic growth in Adamawa

The Commissioner, Ministry of Information, Mr. Iliya James has restated his commitment to contributing to the socio-economic development of Adamawa state.

He stated this at his office while playing host to Maya Elders Forum who paid him a congratulatory visit from Demsa Local Government Area.

Mr. James who described Maya community as highly committed and focused in the scheme of things pledged to inject such value in the ministry for enhanced productivity.

The Commissioner maintained that he will not relent at working hard towards the realization of the eight points agenda of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

He expressed delight with the visit and resolved not to disappoint the delegation for coming to identify with him.

Iliya James who extolled Governor Fintiri for appointing him and other Maya sons and daughters said they will unite to project image of the state in good light.

He appreciated the Maya Elders Forum for coming.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Maya Elders Forum, Mr. Peter Bokido said they came on behalf of the Maya community to congratulate the Commissioner over his reappointment into the state government cabinet.

He advised him to be loyal to his principal and employer and exhibit worthy leadership quality to his subjects.

Mr Bokido who expressed sadness over the imminent poor harvest of sorghum in their area due to the combination of human and natural disaster appealed to the government to come to their aid.

He appreciated the Governor for connecting the community to the national grid as a result of which they now enjoy electricity.

Peter Bokido pledged the unwavering support and commitment of the community to developing and moving the state forward at all cost.
