Governor Fintiri Commended for Providing Infrastructure At 12 Markets In Adamawa

The Commissioner Ministry of Livestock and Aquaculture Development, Alhaji Tijjani Atiku Maksha has restated Adamawa State government’s commitment to providing enabling environment to boost the socio economic growth of the state.

The Commissioner stated this during a tour to the twelve grains and livestock markets upgraded by the Adamawa State Government under the Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s led administration.

The Commissioner who was visibly delighted with the well done job by the contractors who handle the works, explained that the government is implementing plans aimed at making people self reliant.

Maksha who commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for the infrastructure in the markets, called on citizens to embark on farming and livestock activities, also appeals for citizens to support government in revenue generation to enable them implement it good policies and programmes.

Speaking, the Executive Chairman Mubi South local council, Honourable Hamidu Adamu Jingi who was represented by the secretary of the council, Alhaji Mustapha Sajo Gella, thanked the Governor for upgrading the grains and cattle markets in Mubi.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Head of Markets in Mubi North, Alhaji Abdullahi Saidu described the infrastructural development in the markets as timely and expressed their readiness to support the Fintiri led administration in taking the state to greater heights.

Contributing, the chairman board of ADAS-P, Alhaji Kashim Njidda charged the beneficiaries to take responsibility of the infrastructure for the betterment of all.

The infrastructure provided by the state government across the markets included warehouses, offices, police station, solar powered boreholes, toilets, drainages and fencing a cross twelve selected markets.

The markets visited includes Mubi grains and livestock markets, as well as Gombi livestock and Song cattle market respectively.
