APC House of Reps Candidate Salihijo Distributes Over 1,000 Bags of Fertiliser to Farmers in Yola North, Yola South, Girei

The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency, Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, has distributed over 1,000 bags of fertiliser to farmers across the three local government areas.


The intervention is aimed at supporting farmers during the rainy season and boosting agricultural production and food security across the constituency.


The beneficiaries were drawn from all political wards in Yola North, Yola South and Girei and included women, youths, elders and other members of the communities.


Speaking during the distribution exercise in Yola South Local Government Area, the Director of Planning and Strategy of the Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Campaign Council, Adamu Baba Mustafa, said 300 bags of fertiliser had been allocated to the local government to support farmers and improve their yields.


According to him, the initiative is part of Engr. Ahmad Salihijo’s efforts to support residents and encourage increased food production within the constituency.


Baba described Salihijo as a trusted and credible candidate, while calling on residents of the three local government areas to support his candidacy in the forthcoming election.


Also speaking, the coordinator of the Ahmad Salihijo campaign in Yola South LGA, Katuka Yerima, assured that the fertiliser would be distributed to the intended beneficiaries.


Yerima commended Salihijo for the gesture, which he described as unprecedented in the area, and urged residents to support his political ambition.


The APC Chairman of Makama B Ward, Alhaji Ahmed Wali, said the party was proud of Salihijo’s contributions to the constituency and his support for members of the community.


Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with an ABC Yola reporter expressed appreciation for the fertiliser intervention and pledged their support for Salihijo in the forthcoming election.


The distribution forms part of efforts by the candidate and his campaign team to engage with and support farmers across the Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency.
