Numerous dignitaries, including friends, family, and well-wishers of former Senator Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako, honored the wedding fatiha between his daughter Maryam Abdulaziz Nyako and Abdulkareem Santuraki.
The ceremony took place at Doubeli Jummu’at Mosque, also known as Baballo Mosque, in Jimeta immediately following the Juma’at prayers.
Alhaji Muhammad Murtala Nyako, the brother of Senator Abdulaziz Nyako, serves as Waliy to the bride, Maryam Abdulaziz, while Mohammed Santuraki represented the groom, Abdulkareem Santuraki.
Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, the National Chairman of Jama’atu Izalatul Bida Waikamatus Sunnah, officiated the ceremony after the payment of a bride price of five hundred thousand naira.
The officiating cleric offered prayers for peace and tranquility in the new homes of the couples.
Former Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako, the grandfather of the bride, extended congratulations to the newlyweds and emphasized the importance of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
Senator Abdulaziz Nyako, the father of the bride, expressed gratitude to all attendees and prayed for abundant blessings from Allah.
Following the ceremony, hundreds of attendees proceeded to a reception held at Senator Nyako’s residence, where politicians, Islamic clerics, friends, and well-wishers of the couple’s parents also joined in the celebration.
