Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved payment of seventy thousand naira national minimum wage to workers on both state and local government payroll.
The State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe revealed in an interview with newsmen shortly after he led other exco to Governor Umaru Fintiri.
He said with this state government workers will start receiving their salaries with the new minimum wage from this month of August while workers at the local government level will start benefiting from September.
Mr Fashe explains they the temple to be used is the consequential adjustment table that was used in 2019, pending the release of the table from the National Salaries, Wages and Income Commission.
He said Governor Umaru Fintiri has approved the implementation because he doesn’t want Adamawa workers to be waiting for table from national salaries, wages and income commission before implementation.
